Gary Bivings is a seasoned leader in digital strategy and technology innovation, with over 25 years of hands-on experience. His work spans early-stage platform development for startups to designing and executing a nationwide digital advocacy campaign that helped shift U.S. energy policy. Gary combines a deep understanding of web technologies with a sharp strategic sense, particularly in complex, multi-layered digital marketing and outreach efforts.
He founded and built a successful consulting practice from the ground up, growing it from a solo operation into a 30+ person digital firm based in Washington, DC. Under his leadership, the firm became a pioneer in web and social media strategy, delivering cutting-edge solutions for clients across the political, corporate, and philanthropic sectors.
Gary’s initiatives included groundbreaking work in digital communications — from innovative website development and social media monitoring platforms to custom software solutions such as multilingual intranets, real-time voice-to-text translation, political finance tracking tools, and online learning systems. His approach blends strategic foresight with technical precision, making him a trusted partner for organizations navigating the digital landscape.

Prior to entering the consulting world, Gary worked for the US government and the United Nations in refugee camps and famine relief programs in Africa and Asia; and he started his professional life as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Malaysia. Gary has a B.Sc. in Physics and Math from the University of Arizona and an M.P.A. from the Harvard Kennedy School.
